Dagmar Oeser (1950 – 2040, at least) I want to paint beautiful paintings. Not superficially beautiful paintings. Rather, they must entail various meanings. That is why I prefer abstract art. It offers the observer open dialogue.
Firstly, meaning is instantly derived from its colour. It creates atmosphere and triggers emotions and moods.
Secondly, structure, forms and lines become more apparent. They can be in contrast to the colours and can underline or question them.
This is how with every new glance something new can be discovered. My paintings are expression of my ideas and inner pictures. However, the observer is always part of my
conceptual world – as is the possible effect on the room. Because art in a room gives people calmness, occasion for conversation, it radiates energy and creativity.
